COMMEDIA DELL’ARTE WORKSHOP

This offer originates from the experience the FIPS have acquired staging Commedia dell’Arte productions for the past four years.

This five hour workshop will be entirely focused on the exploration of the expressive body since Commedia dell’Arte doesn’t require any psychological self-analysis. Yet, the exploration of the self through one’s body often becomes very deep. The body is turned into a vessel for creativity. Characters and archetypes become endless sources of wonder and discovery.

This workshop will fill the gaps and will answer many of the questions Drama teachers have raised about the creative and technical engagement required in staging a Commedia dell’Arte performance.
